From Ant-Man ally to joining the “elite” Suicide Squad, David Dastmalchian is heading to the top.

Dastmalchian, who is best known as Kurt, one of Scott Lang’s con-artist allies in the Ant-Man films has been cast to the classic Polka-Dot Man (aka Mr. Polka-Dot) in The Suicide Squad, a reboot-sequel to the 2016 DC ensemble cast film that has been written and will be directed by James Gunn.

The character of Polka-Dot Man was created in 1962 and despite his strange looking costume, the character can take random spots off the costum to unveil a variety of weapons and other things that would prove useful to him. However, the character is said to be embarrassed of his “lame” abilities. However, in this case, it may prove useful to the team.

Dastmalchian joins the likes of the returning Viola Davis and Jai Courtney as well as Idris Elba, who will play a brand new character in the film. Shooting begins in September for a 2021 release date.
