“The Devil” is coming back for seconds!
Hailed as one of World Film Geek’s Top 10 films of 2018, Along Came the Devil is a 21st Century version of The Exorcist that was very thrilling. Now, it has been announced that the husband-wife team of Jason and Heather DeVan begin principal photography on Along Came the Devil 2, which will bring Bruce Davison back as the priest who now must have a rematch with the demonic presence that took over Sydney Sweeney in the original film.
“After receiving an unsettling voicemail, Jordan returns home, looking for answers, only to find her estranged father and even more questions. A demonic force has attached itself to the town and no one is safe. The only one who seems to know anything is the small town’s Reverend.”
Jason will direct from a script he co-wrote with Heather. As for the cast, Davison will be joined this time around by Laura Wiggins, Mark Ashworth, and Tiffany Fallon.
The film will will be shot in Atlanta as well as in the Flowery Branch in Hall County in Georgia. The film is produced by Jason and Heather under their production company DeVan Clan and is executive produced by Kenneth C. Dunn and Keith Roush. Ricki Maslar has served as casting director.
Along Came the Devil 2 is gearing for a Fall 2019 release by Gravitas Ventures.
