Yes! He is back!

It has been announced today that James Gunn, who was fired from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in controversial fashion last year, has been reinstated by Disney and will in fact, return for the third film of the Marvel franchise.

According to a source, Gunn has been meeting with Disney head Alan Horn on numerous occasions since his firing in 2018 and with Gunn’s public apology for some offensive tweets from many years ago to his handling of the situation, Horn decided that Gunn has proven himself to be reinstated and will now direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 After all, it was already confirmed that Marvel had planned to use his script anyway.

This is very exciting news but what will this mean for his DC project, The Suicide Squad? Well, it looks like Gunn will do that film first before jumping into Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Nevertheless, the reinstatement of James Gunn to Marvel is nothing but short of sheer excitement.
