Entertainment Weekly has unleashed the first official images of Brie Larson as the saving grace for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the superheroine Captain Marvel.
Larson plays Carol Danvers, a test pilot who is given super powers from Mar-Vell, a Kree military commander played by Jude Law. Using her new powers, she will face off against the Skrulls, led by Ben Mendelsohn‘s Talos as the Skrulls invade Earth. Set in the 1990’s, the film will also feature Samuel L. Jackson as a two-eyed Nick Fury.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, the film will come out on March 8, 2019 with the character returning in the fourth Avengers film set for a May 3, 2019 release.
