Get ready for war as Warner Bros. released the trailer for Aquaman, which brings Jason Momoa in the role of the DC superhero, who first appeared in Batman v Superman in a brief appearance before being unleashed in Justice League.

Directed by James Wan, the film shows Aquaman’s origins as Arthur Curry, a half-human, half-Atlantean who learns when he grows up that his brother, Atlantis’ King Orm, played by Patrick Wilson, is plotting war against the surface world. It is up to Aquaman to find his true calling and become the heroic king he is destined to be.

Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Dolph Lundgren, Temeura Morrison, Nicole Kidman, and Yahya Abdul Mateen II co-star in the film, written by Will Beall, based on the characters created by Mort Weisinger and Paul Norris.

Aquaman will be released in theaters on December 21.
