When it was first announced that Charlie’s Angels is once again getting the big-screen treatment and the Angels may have been found for this reboot of the 2000 and 2003 films.

Currently in talks to play the new “Angels” are Kristen Stewart, Lupita Nyogo’o, and Naomi Scott. Stewart is best known for her role as Bella Swan in The Twilight Saga. Nyogo’o made an impact with her films Queen of Katwe and recently, Black Panther. Scott is the breakout of the 2017 Power Rangers reboot and will be seen next year as Jasmine in Disney’s live action Aladdin film.

Elizabeth Banks is set to direct the reboot as well as play the new female version of Bosley. This would reunite Scott and Banks, the latter of who played Rita Repulsa in Power Rangers. The film comes after the two films in 2000 and 2003 directed by McG and starred Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu as the Angels with Hong Kong style fighting by Yuen Cheung-Yan. An attempt at a TV reboot in 2011 failed miserably.

Charlie’s Angels is due for a June 7, 2019 release with shooting set to begin in September.
