It looks like Scott Waugh‘s action film with Jackie Chan has both a new title and a new co-star.

In an interview conducted with Waugh for his 2017 biopic 6 Below: Miracle on the Mountain, Waugh confirmed that Chan’s original co-star for what was to be called Ex-Baghdad, Sylvester Stallone was no longer involved in the film and a new co-star would be sought.

Ladies and gentlemen, a new co-star has been found in the form of WWE superstar and actor John Cena. Cena will replace Stallone as an ex-Marine who will team up with Chan, who is a Chinese private security contractor who is called in to extract oil workers from a China-run oil refinery in the Middle East after it is attacked.

On top of that, the film has a new title in the form of Project X. Waugh will still be directing with Chan producing alongside Joe Tam, Esmond Ren and Hans Canosa. Arash Amel wrote the screenplay.

More as this develops.
