It will truly be the end of an era.
Steven Spielberg has confirmed that next year’s shooting of the fifth installment of the Indiana Jones film franchise will in fact be the final one to star Harrison Ford as the legendary professor/adventurer.
The character had made his debut in 1981’s Raiders of the Lost Ark, followed by 1984’s Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, 1989’s Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and 2008’s lackluster Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Here is hoping that this final film with Ford will end things with a bang.
Spielberg himself has also stated he would be open to having a female version of the character as well, but with Ford at 73, it is time for the legend to “pass the torch” and the way to do that is to go out on a high with this upcoming fifth film.
Shooting begins in April 2019 for a July 10, 2020 release from Disney and LucasFilm.
Hi there! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could get a captcha plugin for my comment form? I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having problems finding one? Thanks a lot!
