Class will be in session on January 30 when the returned Vestron Video (part of Lionsgate Home Entertainment) will release Class of 1999 on limited edition Blu-Ray.

The film, a sci-fi sequel to Class of 1984, switches the tone of the original, where this time two rival high school gangs find themselves teaming up to take on a trio of new teachers, who are actually former military androids who bring their own brand of discipline to the students and yet, they let the military side take over, killing students and causing war.

Bradley Gregg, Pam Grier, Patrick Kilpatrick, John P. Ryan, Stacy Keach, and Malcolm McDowell star in the Mark L. Lester-directed film.

Special features on the Blu-Ray include:

  • Audio Commentary with Producer-Director Mark L. Lester
  • “School Safety” Interviews with Producer-Director Mark L. Lester and Co-Producer Eugene Mazzola
  • “New Rules”: Interview with Screenwriter C. Courtney Joyner
