Rocky is truly taking the reigns…
Sylvester Stallone is not only returning in Creed II, but he has taken to Instagram to announce that he will be directing the film, which reunites his iconic Rocky Balboa and his latest protege, Adonis Creed, to be played again by Michael B. Jordan.
Stallone takes over directing duties from Ryan Coogler, who directed the hit spin-off film and co-wrote the original 2015 film with Aaron Covington. The sequel is rumored to bring back former Ivan Drago, played in a breakthrough performance by Dolph Lundgren in 1985’s Rocky IV, in what could be a revenge match for Adonis, whose father Apollo was killed by Drago.
