Haters are gonna hate, but Alicia Vikander has what it takes to pull it off!
The trailer to the much anticipated reboot of Tomb Raider has arrived and it has Vikander as Lara Croft, the adventurer who in the film, is on the search to find her father. The action looks like a more faithful version of the original video game from Eidos Interactive, who introduced the character in 1996.
Angelina Jolie played the role in two films in 2001 and 2003. For her first outing in the role, Vikander is joined by the likes of Walton Goggins as nemesis Mathias Vogel and Into the Badlands’ Daniel Wu as Lu Ren, a Chinese ship captain who becomes Lara’s ally in the hunt to solve the mystery behind her father’s disappearance.
Roar Uthaug directed the film from a script by Geneva Robertson-Dworet.
Tomb Raider will be unleashed to screens on March 16, 2018 from MGM Pictures.
