The Force is no longer with Colin Trevorrow.
Disney has announced that Trevorrow, who directed the 2015 hit Jurassic World, will no longer be directing Star Wars Episode IX. And much like the departure of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller leaving the Han Solo spin-off, it all boils down to an all-too familiar problem.
“Colin has been a wonderful collaborator throughout the development process but we have all come to the conclusion that our visions for the project differ. We wish Colin the best and will be sharing more information about the film soon.”
That’s right. It’s “creative differences” that has influenced Trevorrow to depart from the film. However, there is still time to find a replacement as Episode IX is not expected in theaters until December 2019.
