The Merc with the Mouth may have just found his arch-nemesis for the second go-round as Jack Kesy (right) has been cast as a villain in Deadpool 2.

According to sources, Kesy will play Thomas Samuel Eamon Cassidy, also known as the mutant Black Tom. The Dublin-born mutant made his debut in Issue #99 of the X-Men comic series in 1976 in a small cameo before going full-on two issues later. Cassidy is a mutant has the ability to fire concussive blasts of force or heat by using wood as a focal point, his preferred instrument being a shillelagh. However, he later undergoes genetic alterations to become a plant-like being.

Kesy joins Ryan Reynolds, who returns as Deadpool, along with returnees Monica Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, T.J. Miller, and Brianna Hildebrand and newcomers Josh Brolin as Cable and Zazie Beetz as Domino. David Leitch takes over as director for the new film, slated for a June 1, 2018 release by Fox.
