Just when you thought you saw The Final Chapter, it isn’t over…
Over the weekend, Constantin Film announced that after six films in the Resident Evil film series, all which starred Milla Jovovich, they are rebooting the franchise…
The film series took a bit of a different turn from its Capcom-video game originals, meshing sci-fi and horror rather than doing the haunted houses and community vibes of the video games. While the reboot is still in development, some news have been announced in addition to this.
James Wan, who is currently directing the Aquaman film in Australia, signed on to produce the film with Michael Clear and Greg Russo is writing the new script. Perhaps with Wan’s involvement, there is a chance we may see the actual video game series brought to life, but that has yet to be confirmed as well as a director being sought out. What is also confirmed is that the reboot will have a brand new cast.
More as this develops.
