When the sci-fi action thriller Edge of Tomorrow was released on the home video market under the title, Live Die Repeat, as a result of a faltering time at the box office, the results on DVD and Blu_Ray were well enough to start up a potential sequel.
Having been in development since last year, director Doug Liman has revealed details on the sequel to the film based on the novel “All You Need is Kill” by Hiroshi Sakurazaka.
Liman is back to the director’s chair with the film’s original duo of Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt returning after finishing off their commitments to other projects. The script is currently being written by Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse with an interesting title: Live Die Repeat…and Repeat.
For those who missed the original, Cruise’s Major William Cage is killed within minutes of fending off aliens invading Earth, but learns he is thrown into a time loop in which he re-engages and dies until he can find a way to survive the attack with the help of Blunt’s Sgt. Rita Vrataski.
