Tom Cruise is truly about to meet his match in a new version of the legendary Universal horror film The Mummy.

Unlike the 1999-helmed film that featured a taste of action with its horror tones, this new version is going back to a straight-up horror feel as Cruise plays Nick Morton, a Special Forces operative who finds himself having to face a female goddess named Ahmanet, played by Sofia Boutella, who has been mummified and now awakened, plans to wreak nothing but devastation and chaos in London.

Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, and Courtney B. Vance co-star with Russell Crowe, who will make his official debut as Dr. Henry Jekyll. This film, directed by Alex Kurtzman, is going to part of the new cinematic universe that will feature some of Universal’s classic monsters with a modern update feel.
