Erin Hunter‘s youth novel series Warriors will be getting the live-action treatment with a producer of the Harry Potter films leading the way.
David Heyman (left), who helped bring J.K. Rowling‘s magical wizard to life in eight films and the recently released spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, has signed to team up with China’s Alibaba Pictures to bring Hunter’s novels of warring cats to life and in live-action form nonetheless. Alibaba retained the rights to make the film adaptation in October.
Hunter’s series consists of six official series, in which they comprise of six novels in each series. The current series, A Vision of Shadows, is currently up to number two in the series.
It will be interesting to see how this will be brought to life in live-action form, but look out as more develops on this. For more on the Warriors novels, go to the novels’ official website.
