The trailer for the final installment of Don Coscarelli‘s famous horror film series has been unleashed.
While Coscarelli wrote and produced Phantasm: Ravager, he left the directorial duties to his co-writer David Hartman. The film brings back Reggie Bannister and A. Michael Baldwin in their signature roles of Reggie and Mike while the film marks the final performance of the legendary “Tall Man” himself, Angus Scrimm, who passed away in January, after the film was completed.
The film was originally conceived in 2008 and had been referenced in 2012’s End of the World. The film was actually completed in late 2014 but post-production would stall the release until now.
A fitting ending to the horror film series, which began with 1979’s original film, Phantasm: Ravager will be unleashed on October 7, 2016 from Silver Sphere Corporation. The film will make its debut first at Austin’s Fantastic Fest on September 25. In addition to the release of Phantasm: Ravager, a re-mastered version of the original film will be released as well.
