What do you get when you combine the writer of Guardians of the Galaxy and the director of Wolf Creek? A very well-received thriller that after gaining rave at film festivals will be unleashed this March.

The Belko Experiment revolves around 80 Americans in a high-rise corporate building in Bogota, Colombia. There, they are forced into a deadly game of kill or be killed by a mysterious mastermind. The film follows the likes of Battle Royale and The Hunger Games. The film was directed by Greg McLean and written by James Gunn, who may be known today for his work with Marvel, but got his start in horror films, working for Troma with Tromeo and Juliet and later gained a following with his horror-c0medy Slither.

The film stars Josh BrenerAdria ArjonaMichael Rooker, and Tony Goldwyn. The film has been getting rave reviews, with some critics calling the film McLean’s best film since his breakout Aussie horror film Wolf Creek.

After the screening at the Toronto Film Festival, Orion Releasing and BH Tilt have gained the U.S. theatrical rights and they plan to release the film in March 2017.
