Are you wondering if we will ever see the new Godzilla film from Japan here Stateside? Well, you will not have to wait too long anymore.
Funimation Entertainment has acquired the rights to Shin Godzilla, also known as Godzilla: Resurgence, and will unleash the rebooted monster for a one-week run in October in select theaters across the nation.
Funimation has opted to use the original Japanese name as opposed to the name many were expecting. The film was directed by the team of Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi. Cast members include Hiroki Hasegawa, Yutaka Takenouchi, Satomi Ishihara, and Shinya Tsukamoto. Playing Godzilla through motion capture is Mansai Nomura.
The film will get a limited one-week theatrical run on October 11. Check your local theaters to see if the film is available for showtimes.
