A Look at Johnny Wu’s “Wu Xia: A Martial Arts Tango”

Two young men take on five fighters representing the Five Elements in this short film from Johnny K. Wu.

The 10-minute short film stars Andrew Santin and Benjamin Zgorecki as Sam and Neil, two prospective fighters who are worthy by taking on the Five Element Fighters Gold (Jedidiah J. Fabian), Wood (Jerry Sur), Water (Kristina Michelle), Fire (Matthew Kane), and Gold (Keith Collins II, who also choreographed the fight scenes).

The film shot on location in Cleveland, Ohio and it is quite a fun short film that fans may enjoy, with its comic book-like frames and influence on martial arts films, with perhaps an influence from perhaps Five Element Ninjas with the five fighters representing the elements seen in the 1982 Shaw Brothers classic.

A special Thank You goes out to co-star Jerry Sur for bringing this to WFG’s attention.
