The wait is finally over!!! The trailer to the long awaited remake of the 1989 martial arts film Kickboxer has finally arrived courtesy of Yahoo! Movies.

Alain Moussi takes over the role of Kurt Sloane, who sees his brother killed at the hands of Tong Po, played by former WWE superstar and martial artist Dave Bautista. To get his revenge, Kurt trains under his brother’s teacher, Durand, played by the original Kurt Sloane himself, Jean-Claude Van Damme.

The film co-stars Gina Carano, Sara Malakul Lane, Cain Velasquez, Fabricio Werdum, Matthew Ziff, T.J. Storm, and Georges St. Pierre. The film also marked the final appearance of the great Darren Shahlavi before his sudden passing in 2015.

Kickboxer: Vengeance is directed by John Stockwell and was written and produced by Dimitri Logothesis, who is currently directing the sequel, Kickboxer: Retaliation with Moussi, Werdum, and Van Damme returning with an ensemble cast of fighters.

RLJ Entertainment will unleash Kickboxer: Vengeance on September 2nd in theaters and Video on Demand.
