Yes, the Merc with a Mouth is giving a thumbs up for a very very good reason! Not only did Deadpool become the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time with its $756 million worldwide gross, but as of yesterday, Ryan Reynolds has looked to have signed on to do the sequel!!!
What will we expect in Deadpool 2? Well, if Deadpool himself was right, we may see the mutant Cable join the fracas. Cable, the leader of mutant spin-off team X-Force, comes from the future and is the son of an X-Man, Cyclops.
A script is currently being worked on by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the screenplay for the original film and it is expected that Tim Miller will return to direct the sequel.
It is rumored that Fox wants to start production in the fall for a January 2018 release date, but that remains to be seen.
Nevertheless, get ready for some more chimi-freakin-changas as we will get to see the return of the foul-mouthed ex-merc turned foul-mouthed mutant superhero.
