Michael Worth is an actor, martial artist, and filmmaker whose latest film The Butterfly Guard, takes us to the world of Muay Thai kickboxing.

Worth stars, wrote the screenplay, and directed the film, revolving around two fighters from opposite sides of the world and the obstacles and realizations they face along the way. The film co-stars Tim ThomersonIvan Sergei, and mixed martial arts fighter Justin McCully.

Worth began his career in the 1990’s with his appearances in the straight to home video martial arts genre of films, followed by a starring role on the hit syndicated action series Acapulco H.E.A.T. He even narrowly won the role of Dick Grayson/Robin in the 1995 film Batman Forever and while Chris O’Donnell ultimately won the role, Worth appears in the film as a stunt fighter during a street fight scene against the future Robin.

Worth’s directorial efforts have included the action comedy Killing Cupid, the boxing drama God’s Ears, and the horror action film War WolvesThe Butterfly Guard is one of three new films Worth had directed due for release.
