Tim Burton, the visionary director behind films such as Beetlejuice, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and the upcoming sequel Alice Through the Looking Glass, brings one of the most beloved novels to life this September and the first trailer has been released.
Based on the novel by Ransom Riggs, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children stars Eva Green as the titular headmistress of a school of well, peculiar children. Asa Butterfield co-stars as Jake, a teenager who may think he’s ordinary, but is in fact just as peculiar and while he learns what he can do at the new school, he learns of dark sinister forces and intends to find out who can be trusted and discover how to help protect the school.
Ella Purnell, Allison Janney, Terence Stamp, Rupert Everett, and Samuel L. Jackson co-star in the film, which was scripted by Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass 1 & 2).
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children will be released by 20th Century Fox on September 30, 2016.
