After the rousing success of its Comic-Con trailer, Warner Brothers unveiled the first official trailer to their upcoming anti-hero team-up DC film Suicide Squad.
Written and directed by David Ayer (Fury), the film revolves around a secret government agency recruiting imprisoned supervillains to execute dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency. Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) knows that the mission can result in the deaths of said supervillains and quite frankly, doesn’t care.
Will Smith plays Deadshot. Jay Hernandez is El Diablo. Cara Delavingne is Enchantress. Jai Courtneyis Captain Boomerang. Adewale Akinnouye-Agjabe is Killer Croc. Adam Beach is Slipknot. Karen Fukuhara is Katana. Joel Kinnamanis team leader Rick Flagg. Margot Robbie is Harley Quinn, and Jared Leto may just play the most insane Joker since the late Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight Rises.
Look for an appearance by Ben Affleck reprising his role of Batman in one particular scene.
The trailer is nicely done with the iconic Queen song “Bohemian Rhapsody” playing in the background. Look out for the Suicide Squad on August 5, 2016 from Warner Brothers.
