The crew of the USS Enterprise are back in this new installment, set for release in 2016.
This time, Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto), Bones (Karl Urban), Scotty (Simon Pegg), Uhura (Zoe Saldana), Chekov (Anton Yelchin), and Sulu (John Cho) are stranded after they are attacked, causing the Enterprise to crash. They will find an alien race which will include Idris Elba and Kingsman actress Sofia Boutella.
Justin Lin (Fast and Furious 3-6) directed with original Trek reboot helmer J.J. Abrams serving as a producer. The script was co-written by Roberto Orci, John Payne, Patrick McKay, Doug Jung, and Scotty himself, Simon Pegg.
Star Trek Beyond hits theaters on July 22, 2016 from Paramount.
