The official trailer to the sequel to the 2000 Chinese wuxia epic Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon has finally arrived. The film will make its U.S. debut exclusive on IMAX and Netflix on February 26, 2016.
In the officially titled Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny, Yu Shu-Lien, reprised by Michelle Yeoh, must protect the legendary Green Destiny sword (which once belonged to her true love, the ill-fated Li Mu-Bai) from falling into the wrong hands. The film is adapted from the fifth and final novel of Wang Dulu’s Iron Pentalogy series of novels, “Silver Vase, Iron Knight”. The original film was adapted by the fourth novel with the same name of the film.
Donnie Yen, Jason Scott Lee, Harry Shum Jr., Eugenia Yuan, Veronica Ngo, and Juju Chan co-star. The film is directed and choreographed by Yuen Woo-Ping, who handled action choreography on the original 2000 film. John Fusco (Marco Polo) wrote the screenplay.
