Exciting news has arrived as 2016 is truly gearing up to be the year of Scott Adkins. It has been announced that Adkins has joined the cast of Marvel’s Doctor Strange, which is currently shooting in Nepal.

Adkins joins the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch (who plays the titular hero), Chiwetel Ejiofor (who plays Baron Mordo, Tilda Swinton (who plays The Ancient One), and possibly Mads Mikkelsen (who is rumored to be playing a villain). As for Adkins, his role has not been specified, yet this still proves exciting. Adkins’ last appearance in a Marvel-related movie was that of the role of Weapon XI in the 2008 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Scott Derrickson is directing the film from a script by Jon Spaihts. Doctor Strange is due for release on November 2016.
