Marvel Studios made a huge announcement earlier today: Ant-Man will be returning in a sequel to the 2015 hit film. Only this time, he won’t be alone.
The sequel, entitled Ant-Man and the Wasp, will bring back Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne/The Wasp. The film has a release date locked in: July 6, 2018, which was originally to have been the date for the release of Black Panther, starring Chadwick Boseman as the titular King of Wakanda.
However, good news now await Boseman as Marvel has made the decision to release Black Panther earlier with a now locked date of February 16, 2018. The downfall is that Captain Marvel, which will have the character of Carol Danvers as the titular hero, will now have to wait until March 8, 2019.
In addition, Marvel has locked three dates in 2020 for three movies which have not been revealed as of yet.
