mistaken

New Jersey-based independent filmmaker Franklin Correa is someone I have had the pleasure of getting to know over the past few years. I have had the chance because of him to continue my support of indie filmmaking, especially with his two recent films, Flashdrive and Mistaken.

Correa himself is self-distributing his latest film Mistaken, in which he plays a man who returns home to find trouble and must contend with some old and new enemies. There is two reasons that fans should check out the latest film from Correa. One is to support independent filmmaking but the second reason is more important.

Part of the proceeds from the sales of Mistaken will go towards Correa’s dear friend and co-star of this very film, Crystal T. Williams (who appears on the poster above with Correa). She was diagnosed with cancer and Correa is planning to use part of the proceeds to help Williams in her battle against cancer.
