One movie I have been excited about since hearing about is the first time is The Martial Arts Kid. Yes, there have been many films that many will think that this could be another Karate Kid or something similar. However, this project is truly a personal project for everyone involved and it clearly has an anti-bullying message as the organization Bullying…We’re Kickin’ It is fully supporting the film as a film that every family should see.

The film revolves around Robbie (Jansen Panettiere), a troubled teen who moves from Detroit to Cocoa Beach, Florida to live with his uncle Glen (kickboxing legend Don “The Dragon” Wilson) and aunt Cindy (martial arts action legend Cynthia Rothrock). When Robbie finds himself bullied by local tough Bo (Matthew Ziff), Cindy convinces Glen to teach Robbie martial arts.

The trailer looks pretty good and at the Sunshine Film Festival earlier this year, the film won Best Florida Film and Matthew Ziff earned a Best Supporting Actor award for his portrayal as bully Bo.
